Nice, but I think the Saturn Sky version is a little more aesthetically pleasing. What's it weigh?

The only pontiac I'd ever consider buying, because the market has a distinct lack of low-cost roadsters, and the miata is too girly really. The sky looks better, but I'd never buy a saturn.
Don't forget the miata has a supercharged version, but it's $25k or so MSRP compared to $21k for this thing (I presume the mazdaspeed comes with AC, where as the 20 base for this does not). I am surprised at how brutal gas mileage is on the regular miata!Originally posted by: Marlin1975

That and the Pontiac makes 41lb-ft of torque and 35Hp more then a miata does not hurt either![]()
Also both get 28mpg on the highway, so no Diff. there.
Word. If they could have it similarly priced to the miata (granted, the miatas have a lot of deals on them these days) but with an extra 60 horses or something, it would be a very nice purchase. Not bad, not bad... I wonder how long for GM Performance to offer a supercharger kit for it. Around 250bhp would make this car really really fun. I hope they include some sort of stability control program.

 The current Mazdaspeed Miata is being discontinued. The next generation Miata should go on sale in the next few months.Originally posted by: Marlin1975
HaHaHa, I just looked up the specs for the turbocharged miata and it only makes 1Hp more and no more torque then the BONE STOCK pontiac. And its highway Gas milage drops to 26, 2 less MPG then the standard Pontiac and Mazda.
That and the base price of the turbocharged miata is $26,340.

LoL. 2.4 liter's and GM can only get 177 hp and 166 torque out of it?? That is sad.
Honda can get 240 Hp out of their 2.0 Liter VTEC motor in the S2000, and 156 torque. And this is supposed to compete. I just think its sad how much power GM is getting from these "Ecotec" motors.
