I'm looking at two Panasonic models of BR player:
It seems to me that the only difference between the two is that the second one has two HDMI outputs, one for video and the other for audio.
If I were to get an external sound output at some point, wouldn't it make more sense to wire it into the TV so that anything played through the TV can go through the external sound output, rather than limiting it to what gets played by the BR player? The only advantage I can think of for the latter approach is potentially that say an audio CD could be put in the player and the TV doesn't need to be switched on + using power in order to play the CD.
Thoughts?
