Pondering an upgrade

I'm thinking about switching my motherboard for something with two pci-e slots, and what I'd like to happen is have a 4890 (going to buy) as my primary card for games and whatnot, folding when I'm away, with my 9800GT in the other slot crunching 24/7. I've heard of people doing similar setups, but I just want to get everything worked out before I order.

I assume I'd have to have dual drivers (ATI & nvidia). Will they play nice with each other or am I going to have to expect bugs and errors out the @ss every time I turn around? What will need to be done to make sure my computer sees the 4890 as the "primary" card and uses it for all 2d/3d stuff, while only F@H accesses the 9800?

If it's going to end up just being nothing but trouble, I can talk myself into ditching the 9800 entirely

Youre going to have to use WinXP or Win 7 to have both ATI and nVidia drivers at the same time. I had a 4870 and 8800GT in the same system in Win7. As long as my monitor was connected to the 4870 from a reboot, rendering was done on that.
