Pollage: Do you charge your phone every day or only when it needs it?

Just curious if most people charge their cell phones when they need to be charged, or habitually at night or something when they go to bed.

Edit: the reason i'm asking is that i just got my new V3m, and i'm on my second deep cycle, let it go from full charge to completely dead and then charging it back to full to start the battery off on the right foot. does it really matter anymore?

Whenever I'm on the computer at home and when I go to sleep.

Never know when you're going ot need a few day's worth of charge.

Every two nights, because I don't want to kill the battery too quickly, but it dies after two nights' standby.

I rarely use my phone anyway, though, so I never really need it. I usually don't even have it on me.

usually when it dies from a dead battery, i will charge it for a while.

the b/f, on the other hand, charges his phone every night without fail.

Whenever the battery meter drops to 1 line or if I know I'll be away from anyplace I can charge it for an extended period.

I'm a casual user, and I charge it every second day because that's when it drops one bar to 2/3 of charge. Could have charged every third day, but I prefer to have some buffer zone because I don't want to be left with a dead cellphone if and when I really need it.

Im not sure if batteries can still develop memories. I seem to remember that it was a certain type of battery that could develop memory. NiCd? Thats all that comes to mind...maybe i should just google rather than shoot from the hip.

Regardless, i let all my batter powered devices nearly die before charging.

Edit: looks like nickel batteries do develop memories, but lithium-ion doesnt. My cell has a lithium-ion battery. :Q

When I'm home for the night I plug my phone in. It stays plugged in until I leave. Sometimes thats days, sometimes its overnight.

ah, cool. thanks for doing the legwork.

My POS phone (LG225) is about 13 months old and the battery is absolute crap. It has to be charged about twice a day now.

Trying to decide to buy a battery or just buy a new phone.
