nforce got my vote, second would be the Athlon XP and third would be the AMD 760 chipset, taking AMD into the server world at long last.

That's a tuff call, but I would probably choose the GeF3 and then the nForce. The Athlon (XP) and the AMD 760 would be next.

You should just have GF3 series, instead of the Ti/GF3, ect

THe GF3 was certainly one of the most revolutionary peices of hardware this year. Programmable cores!

My Epox 8KHA+ was my major upgrade for the year and it replaced a BIOSTAR m7vkb kt 133 board. Major performance gain for relatively low cost.

266a gets the nod. :)

nforce? A chipset with a bug that serious shouldn't even be on the list.

The nForce's superstability feature isn't a bug AA0. You can fill all 3 DIMM slots just like anything else, it's just that you'll take ~ 15% performance hit when doing so. Either way, you can buy 2 512MB RAM modules and stick them in 2 DIMM slots and take no performance hit at all, so it's really a non-issue anyway.

ROFLMAO. If you consider the 'SuperStability' mode of nForce to be a "bug" (which it is most certainly NOT)...

My beef is that KT266A is listed. A chipset that buggy ought not be on the list. :D

Ti for sure and wonder is the P4 horthwoord is counted?

The P4 Northwood and i845 DDR chipsets are really 2002 products.

I don't know if cases count but my vote goes towards my Antec SX830 case. I love that thing!

I think you're exaggerating Pabster. The KT266A so far has proven to be quite reliable. It will take many more months for this to be proven as a fact, but still, you really can't say it's that bad.

A lot of people have had success installing and stabily operating KT266A boards.

Pabster is always bashing VIA, bah. Anyway, I voted for the GF3 Ti200. It offers a good value compared to it's older bretheren. I was debating between it and the ATi Radeon 8500. I also like the cost of the OEM version of that card. It is really hard to say. I just kinda picked one. The XP is nice too, but I don't think it improved over the current Thunderbird enough in terms of value or performance to get the vote.

My favorite isn't up there, probably because it lacks glitz and glamour.
But here it is.
My Logitech z560 speakers!!!!
Don't get me wrong, I love my Ti500,
My audigy sound card is fine.
But damn, if your looking for instant gratification, theres no beating these speak's!!!!!!!

I was thinking of adding the Logitech z560 speakers, but I'm trying not to include items that aren't directly tied to a computer case. So stuff like speakers, monitor, mice, etc. won't be included in the poll.

Only stuff in or on the outside of a case (not peripherals) will be included. Otherwise the list would go on forever.
