Okay. Favorite weapon here. I'm going to guarantee that I'll forget a few of them, cuz I'm doing this strictly from memory. So sue me.

I also didnt' include a few weapons, simply because I can't for the life of me seeing someone that loves the Q2 machine gun or the Q1 regular nail gun, when you have the chaingun and supernailgun.

So check the poll (upper right hand icon, if you've never done a poll b4) and give a quick description.

A vote for Q2 blaster! Certainly my favorite weapon of choise in that game, since most of the time I took playing Q2 was in amazement of the beautiful colored lighting. Blaster doesn't do much, but with unlimited ammo, it's one helluva source of light

Put me down for Q1 RL. Close second is the Q1 Grenade Launcher. I got pretty good at flinging pineapples.

I never have liked the different projectile physics (and probably more lifelike) for the GL in Q2 and Q3. . .

so far, it's obvious the railgun is king. Of course, I'm guessing that people who vote for the q2 railgun prolly like q2 better, and people who vote for the q3 railgun (need help) probably like q3 better.

Q2 Rail Gun was the best...

You know the weapon is awesome when your were playing in software mode on a K6233 and a 33.6 modem and still loved it...

Thank god that those parts are all gone except for that dang modem. I need a cable modem. They say it should be available at end of December. Yeah!

I voted for the Q1 shaft.
I loved that gun

But you do realize that pretty much all the Doom weapons will simply destroy all of these

I mean really, the plasma rifle in Doom, cool or what? Such a cool sound, cool gfx, and very effective
Or the SS in Doom2, it packed some serious punch.

But lets not forget the favourite, the allmighty chainsaw! Muhahaha!

Sunner; Couldn't agree with you more, Doom's weapons simply rape (pardon the GUTBish expression, but here it's justified ) those of Quake! Standard shotgun has to be my all-time Doom weapon favorite, it's extremely satisfying to frag imps with it at point-blank range.

One can only hope that Doom III will live up to it's legacy.

the Shock Rifle definitely kicks ass.

I love doing the Shock Combo. That is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO damn cool!

as far as &quot;sucks&quot;, I'll disagree. It's really what you're used to.

UT and Q3 are very similar in many ways, and very different in others. Q3 is more of a 1v1 game, whereas due to the maps and weapons in UT, UT is better suited for teamplay

the bots for UT absolutely own Q3's bots.

What's funny is the guy that wrote ReaperBot (quake1) codes the bots for UT, and the guy that wrote Gladiator bot (Quake2) wrote Q3's bots.

I think gladiator bot was better than Q3's bots, but that's just me.

And Jukka, I agree, the single barrel shotgun is very nice indeed
The imps have to be the most annoying creatures in the DOom games, nothing like blasting them asuder with a rocket

Taking out a pig(Demon) with the SS at point blank is pretty nice too

I had to vote for the q2 rail also as nothing puts as much fear into your opponent. I use it everyday still and when you become good at using it, you can control the server so easily.

q2 will live on as the best multiplayer fps ever

the Q2 railgun OWNS on lithium servers, BTW. The RL is very tough to use on a hookin' h0m0, but a quick slug to the throat drops' em off their rope right quick.
