*POLL*X30 or X50 you pick

OK, this poll is between this X50 and this X30. I know the X30 has a faster core, but the X50 is so darn cool looking. 😉 Anyway, which would you get and why? Price isn't an issue, as they both would come to around $300 with discounts. 😀 Please post if you voted.

I just got the x30 and it does everything its supposed to do. Dont really notice a difference from my old 206mhz ipaq tho.

I was thinking because the X50 is newer it might have better/more reliable wireless hardware, which is a big deal for me. Am I right?

You should spend just a bit more and get the X50v, which has the 624 mhz processor (same as the x30 you linked to), 640x480 VGA resolution, slightly larger 3.7" display. There was a dell coupon on it a few days ago, dont think its valid any more, though.

I'd go with the faster one, form should follow function.

I agree, that's why I would choose the X50. It has more function overall than the X30's even if it's technically a little slower.

Yeah, I wanted that one but it's $70 more with coupon and I'm a bit cash strapped as it is. 🙁

BTW, what other good handheld makers are there? I know there is HP, but never really liked them that much in the desktop computer industry...

I'd drop by a store that lets you play with PDAs and make sure you can live with a QVGA screen instead of a VGA one. VGA was flat out the best feature upgrade I've gotten in a long line of PDAs. If it means a PDA that lasts years instead of one that has to be replaced soon because it just doesn't compete, then it's worth saving a little longer or waiting for prices to come down.

Got a question...what's a QVGA screen, and how is it different then a VGA screen?

Hmmmmm, sunase I think I found more money in my wallet. 😀 No, but I wish I knew what the different screen types mean...googling it right now. Ok did a "little" work and the big difference (not %100 sure on this please correct me if I'm wrong) is that the VGA screen has twice as many pixles on the screen then a QVGA screen?

I've looking at the same decision now. Can't decide on an X30 or X50. Does the X30 include Media Player 10 for Windows Mobile?

Shouldn't be an issue. I have an X3i which is the predecessor to the X30 and wifi is outstanding.
