Poll: Would you rather save an infant or a senior citizen?

infant.

here is a tougher question: you are on a cruise with your mother, spouse, and child. the ship begins to sink and you can only save one. who would you choose and why?

An infant...

This reminds me of a Homer Simpson quote:

"It was great Marge. They do everything for you. It's just like being a baby again, but your're old enough to appreciate it."

🙂

well if you asked an person from India, i believe they would save their mother. their reasoning is that in life, you can always remarry and have more children, but you only have one mother.

but i personally don't have an answer to that question myself

I'd probably go for child first, then wife second, then mother third.

Not that I don't love my mom, but I'm all growed up already, and no one would want my son/daughter growing up without a mom.

The infant has what, 70-90 years of life to experience? The senior citizen probably has experienced life and is ready to let go, if not, I'm sure they'd agree with me that the infant has more life to live than they do.

would you kill an innocent man for 1 trillion dollars?

gut reaction is probably no... but you could save a lot of people with 1 trillion dollars...

Spouse and child, cause my azz is staying behind to make room for them.

As for killing an innocent for *pinky to lips* 1 trillion dollars, you assume there is such thing as an innocent person. But, in the unlikely event there ever is one, no I wouldn't.

I'm kinda cold hearted.....
For that kinda money, I'll take any 3 people of your choice, and as a bonus, you choose how 1 of them goes

Hey, I said I was cold hearted!

Actually...I'd probably do something stupid and impracitcal, like try to save the infant *and* the senior...even if it meant the chance that all 3 of us would perish. 🙁

Cuz I know it would haunt me if I didn't at least *try*
