Arms can't be replaced. Attached to your arm are your fingers and your hand. You don't use your toes like you do your fingers so this one is obvious. Paul McCartney's wife is doing fine with a prosthetic leg.

Legs can be replaced with prosthetic legs. I would choose my left leg.

reminds me of a game of roleplaying mechwarrior/battletech I was GMing for some friends, they captured a bad guy who pulled out a grenade and all the PCs were within 10 feet of the prisoner. The suicidal maniac let it go, and everyone was caught in the blast. Instead of realistcally killing off all the players, I made them roll some dice to see if they live, and I gave them each the following choice: "You can either lose one leg at the hip or both at the knee." This is more than fair since legs are nowhere near as important as arms to a mechwarrior.

I'd lose an arm. I could still play soccer with only one arm. I have no idea where I'd be without running/sports/etc

Any case, I'd probably say the left leg. Leg prosthetics have come a really long way. You could still walk, drive M/T, even ride a bike with some advanced models. Arms I kinda need.

Afterthought - Definitely leg. Women have two breasts. I need two hands.:D

And what would you know about that?;):p:D

HAving a bad knee and having a cousin I can say that you will never have "full function" However if I had to choose I would def. lose a leg.

easy a leg. you really are not that handicaped with one leg, but if you lost a arm there are many many things you can not do with one hand (job wise).

you would be able to walk with a prosthetic leg....

if you still want to run then thats a different story

Heh... I guess you don't have any idea how inconvenient that is. However, I guess I'd also rather lose a leg than an arm. With a prosthetic leg you still look OK, most people wouldn't even know your crippled. Without an arm it's always visible.

I would also choose a leg. I wouldn't mind being in a wheel chair or getting a fake leg. A little OT but I saw on monster garage where they fixed up a MB SUV for a guy in a wheel chair and it was a nice ride.

just wondering is it possible to swim with one leg?

Either way I couldn't drive my car properly, and driving my car really brings a great deal of joy to my life. :(
