Absolutely not. When I'm in a relationship, I give my all and expect that in return. Why would I want to sleep with someone else if I was in love with my current bf? On that note....he wouldn't be my current boyfriend if I wasn't in love or had deep feelings for him. Meaning: Break up with that person if you wanna screw around with someone else. 'Sides....the world isn't safe enough to go around screwing random people.

So true but it's not so much about being in love....it's showing your current bf/gf the respect they deserve.
I think that if you're willing to cheat on someone...then you probably didn't want to be with them in the first place. So save both parties the trouble and break up.

And why would you want to cheat anyway? Just for sex? Is it just a guy thing? Why would you be willing to give up a loving and all around great relationship for meaningless sex? (assuming it's a good relationship).

This is the thing most people can't understand. You don't have to give up a loving relationship "Just for sex".

If those two things aren't more important than meaningless sex, you shouldn't be in a relationship anyways...

Heck, if my ex suddenly showed up in town, I'd be afraid for my safety. She was a little strange at times...

And no, I'm not asking because i'm in this position. I've been with my girlfriend for like 14 months and i broke up with my ex-girlfriend because she was too clingy and was trying to run my life, but she's not back looking for casual sex. So, not looking for advice here, just curious to see what the majority of you people would do in this situation.

Go FVCK YOURSELF. Cheatin' is the WORST thing you can do. Shame on you that you even consider that.

[Edit] ooops, just got too upset cuz it happend to me twice. NO I would never ever consider that. [/Edit]

ndee: i clearly stated this isn't about me. i brought it up because i knew it would be a hot topic (which you proved with your statement). Let's leave the personal attacks out and READ THE ENTIRE POST first before lighting into people!

At one point, in previous relationships, yes, I would have. I almost did a few times. I have never *slept* with anyone else while in a relationship.

With my current g/f, things are different because I *know* she's the girl I want to spend the rest of my life with. The thought doesn't even remotely occur to me. Plus, since I've become a Christian, I know God is keeping an eye on me which keeps me in line. :)

I'm not sure what's worse, somebody who cheats or somebody who doesn't but acts like they should get some sort of special award for not cheating.

No kidding... cheating seems like such a minor thing in our society. Why is cheating no longer taboo? I mean, look at the percentage of people from this thread that responded yes (although i do have to say it was less than i was expecting). What is wrong with society allows for such a large percentage of the population to be such assholes to their partners?

As a side note... a female friend said to me on thursday that "guys talk about cheating more, but girls actually do cheat more." What do you guys think? Girls... is that true?

cheating is not cool any way you look at it. if you want to screw someone else then break up with your girlfriend. don't be a dickless pansy and do it behind her back.

I wouldn't do it. Damn 1st gf cheated on me.

But then again Chris Rock says "A man is basically as faithful as his options...."

I guess if you were in a bad position where "it" just dropped in your lap, then you could say it was out of your hands [literally]

let's take away the moral/ethical problems here, cause it's no from the get go with those.

the ex was a clingy psycho hose beast. now she's back for casual sex, so she says. being a psycho hose beast she's probly FANTASTIC in bed. throw that on top of ex-sex(always makes it better) and cheating sex(hightens the danger, thus the excitement) and all you are thinking about is how great it's gonna be. you know it. you'd rationalize disarmament to sadam to get into those pants!

you're a fool if you do.

clingy and back for casual sex? HA! NEVER! she is back to either get back together with you, or ruin your life b/c she blames you for all the pain she feels. probably both. what's worse, she has no idea that is way she's back. she thinks it's just for a quick roll in the hay, but she's psycho! do yourself a favor, put it back in your pants and go buy your real girl some daisies. why do you want to go screw up something that rocks just for one bout of amazing life ruining sex?
