POLL: Would you be angry if Zelda: Twilight Princes was only released on Revolution?

I was reading this story and it got me thinking... as a hardcore Zelda fan, would I feel betrayed if Nintendo decided to wait to release Twilight Princess on Revolution instead of Gamecube? Could release on Revolution make the graphics better, or gameplay longer, or would I feel persuaded into buying a Revolution ASAP to play it?

I voted No, because I plan on buying a Revolution anyway, even if it's just for Zelda and Metroid games :) Then if there's another great Resident Evil that will just make it better.

Since we pre-paid for a GameCube game at EB, we better get it.

No. My latest Nintendo system is the N64; I'm only halfway through OoT and haven't even started Majora's Mask.

You mean like how I was "angry" that Ocarina of Time wasn't released for the SNES?

I don't want to have to buy another console to just play 1 game.
You mean like the folks who own Gamecube who will only play one game on it ever? Wait, that probably never happens. Yeah I've had "one game" be the deciding factor in my buying a console or upgrading a PC, but it wasn't as if there weren't other games I'd be playing too due to the purchase. I mean, won't there be more than one Zelda released for Revolution? And all the other new titles as well as the downloadable classics?

Bah, Nintendo makes quality consoles and the Zelda series has quality games. I'm not into Zelda but have always enjoyed it when I've played one. So no, I wouldn't be "angry" to expect to have to get a Revolution at some point to play some new Zelda game. When did Nintendo promise that all future versions of Zelda would be playable on the Gamecube anyhow?

I plan on getting revolution. Does anyone have an idea on a release date? My sons gamecube just stopped working the other day.

I don't think Nintendo even has a release date yet. Used GCs run pretty cheap on eBay though.

Reggie Fils-Aimee, vice-president of sales and marketing, says Nintendo will not let the GameCube Zelda go into that good night. "We've been quite clear that The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is going to launch for the GameCube," he says, "just as we've been clear that GameCube games will have value through the launch of the Revolution."

Additionally, Perrin Kaplan, vice president of corporate communications, has said, "Nintendo has a commitment to the GameCube owners who've been patiently awaiting this new Zelda game and doesn't want to force them to wait to buy a brand-new system in order to play the game."
- Gamepro, February 2006

It was also noted in the February issue that Zelda fans should expect Twilight Princess to arrive during the summer (at the earliest).

Nintendo execs are saying that the Revolution is on schedule for a 2006 "release date", which most likely means Summer/Fall.

I actually heard it quoted as bumped to November.
And EB still has Twilight Princess @ 04/02/06
