But yet it is so true :). Anyways, yes, I belive that diversity in all things is good.

There would always be something else that would serve to differentiate people, and those differences would be used to breed hate between those groups by those who only have hatred and bitterness within them.

So no, I don't think that the world would be a better place if there was only one race.

It's in our nature to be competitive, to want to feel better than others. So people make up reasons why we would be. Whether it's race, country, religion, politics or wealth, people will always find a reason to look down on others.

I doubt it'd be different. We've already had class wars and such within just pale european folk. It'd be same.

I don't think it would make any difference because just like alot of folks said earlier we would just find something else to fight about. Politics, economics and religion are all "great" reasons to go to war. Besides that I think within not to many generations americans will have their own "race", probably a mix of everything.

Nope. If people would stop fighting and killing each other over race or whatever stupid reason, then the world would be a better place. Even if there was one race, there would still be some issue to divide people.

Diversity is important. Because it helps us understand a human weakness / fear. Well, we havn't really understood it all that well, but I hope that someday we will be able to look beyond what another being looks like before passing judgement. It is part of being human, so we must understand it.

To answer the question. I think it would not be better nor worse. We would gain things and lose things. But, we would also understand ourselves less, which I think is a far worse outcome.

Having one race is not the problem. Education is the problem, people are raised a certain way, with those belief systems intact they lead their lives and continue to perpetuate their belief systems to the next generation. How can you stop something that people use as a tool to teach their children and in fact society what is right and wrong, regardless if it is right or wrong. Maybe if for some reason we all decide that every child will grow up without learning hatred and bias against others because they are different then maybe things could change.

Believe it or not when we exclude diversity we breed in weakness.

So my answer is no, we wouldn't be a better place.

In Ireland, people who are pretty much the same "race" hate each other because of religious reasons or is it class reasons.
