Me? I'm union. I get my 3% over the life of the contract plus cost-of-living.

The wife? She's getting her forth promotion in four years. There is no holding that woman back. She'll be making more than me soon.

We lost a HUGE contract (and along with that, a HUGE promotion for myself). However, if we are successful in bidding for an even bigger contract with a new customer later this year, a promotion/raise is definitely coming my way

Haven't found out yet. Sould know by the end of Feb. In the old days (98-2000) our raises were huge. Last year they sucked. We'll see what happens this year.

I got a 17% merit raise about 6 months ago. My yearly is coming up in less than a month and I expect at least 20%

No. I am now getting less money because of cutbacks. Considering I wasn't making a lot anyway at least not too much got taken away since it was based on a percentage of your earnings.

I'm going to say yes, because I have recieved a raise every year so far.

If I don't get one, I'll be looking for a new job.

So tell me if I am being unreasonable ... I interned at a VERY large company for 3 months from May to August. Did exceptional work there, got an award (they gave about 15 out to around 100 people over the course of a year). I then worked p/t until December. I started full time about 3 weeks ago. I had to do a yearly evaluation .... and I did exceptional. My manager gave me the highest rating in our group (4/5) ... most everybody else got a 3/5 (average). But I don't think I'll get a raise, or a bonus or anything because I technically haven't worked there for very long. Kind of pisses me off that people who haven't worked as hard as I did, or as capable as I am are going to be getting raises when I should.
