POLL: With Intels new marketing slogan technology "Leap Ahead", does AMD have any chance to survive?

"Leap Ahead"

"Core Solo"

"Cord Duo"

Intel is reaffirming its market leading stance once again with superior marketing technology. Backed by powerful CPUs to stand behind every word, does AMD have any chance of not being crushed by the behemoth - Intel?

Perhaps, but they will definately give up plenty of market share....your thoughts?

Umm..how bout your poll sucks, as neither answer is the truth, and our new logo, which most of us think is lame, isn't going to change anything.

Intel and AMD are nothing without eachother, competition is neccessary, and they will both survive just fine.

You should add "Felix is a troll" and see how many vote for that.

Actually I was going to add that I expected you to be a negative, unparticipating ninny, but I thought naw....youll prove it for me. 🙂

Nope, still sounds derogitory towards AMD, so I still won't vote.

OK, thats acceptable, I voted now. Of coures I am obviously still very frusrated with Intel right now since I have a dead core on my 920, while my X2 has given me no problems at all.

Hey! Thanks for the idea! AMD answer:

"AMD - Proud to be number two in the market!" 🙂

Felix, stop being a troll. I can see that some people here are clearly AMD fanboys, and they can mask it because currently, AMD is leading. You'll see that as soon as Intel takes over the flag, a large part of this forum will transition to Intel, and of course a small number of members will stay loyal to AMD and troll about it.

Unfortunately for you, you're a troll, and you can't mask it because your favourite company isn't the current leader. You can clearly see that your poll is biased, too. The only choice you have is "No - AMD is finished" or "Yes". The correct answers should be "No." or "Yes.". Do not use biased words in polls.

I'm very sure that now you've read my opinion, you'll personally attack me, but that's alright. I'm no slave to any company, and I can't say the same about you.

Whilst I was laughing at the fact that you called me troll three times and AMD suporters troll once, dont expect me to reply in kind.

Yes, the poll is slightly biased because I use the market leader - Intel. Love them or hate them, they are the top bananna.

Cheerup old chap, AMD makes a fine assortment of chips but they must respond effectively to Intels overwhelming brute marketing force to survive - or die. 🙁

See? This is what I mean. You're calling me biased because I didn't dodge the subject - you? Why would I talk about others when I'm talking about you? Of course I'm going to say more about you than about others when I'm talking about you.

You know that Intel is not currently the market leader, don't you? Clearly, AMD has the advantage right now. I will, of course, acknowledge the fact that Intel has the trump card if multiple, independant sources have confirmed it.

I do agree with you that Intel clearly has the upper hand when it comes to marketing, and making Joe Sixpack believe that he 'needs' Pentium chips to be inside his computer. AMD is not really good at marketing, seeing as the only TV-commercial I saw that was about them was only appealing to the more educated layer of society. However, AMD's lack of marketing doesn't mean that the products they make and sell can't be market leader.
