Only had top 2. Removal was pretty painless and really no effects afterwards, though I did Percocet (sp?) it up for a day or so just for kicks.

The doctor couldn't put me to sleep though; said he gave me double what he normaly gives and I was still pretty aware..asked if I drank a lot lol..

I had two removed two days ago. I do not know what all the crying and whining is all about. I was in and out of the office in less then 40 minutes, didn't have to be put to sleep, and went back to work next morning. No pain, just little sore for a day, that's all.

The people that cried and complained about getting them pulled probably had drysockets. I had all four removed at the same time (2 pulled, 2 cut out). I had drysockets in both of the bottom holes. It is safe to say that was one of the most painful experiences of my life.

Yep me too. Whole face was swolen but they gave me some nice pain killers that would almost put me into a coma. 🙂

Mine never materialized. I'm 33, so I'm guessing they never will.

Not that that's a bad thing, mind you. 😛

I love how much it costs to have done but it takes about 2 minutes to actualy get them out. I've watched it done and they USUALLY pop out easily.

I guess I'm just lucky. I was really expecting the worst but when all was done I was amazed at how painless it was. Again, prolly I lucked out.

My dentist were suprised my wisdom teeth came in so soon. Is it normal to have them in at age 19? They're poking out straight, but not fully out yet. Terrible fevers brought about by their first presence a couple months ago.

perfectly normal for your age. Just have your dentist evaluate them and work off of his recomendation.

I'd also like to know what drysockets are. I'm 18, I can feel em coming in. They grow and stop I guess, cuz every 5 months or so it hurts for a couple days then stops. I probably still have quite a while before they start becoming a problem, but I'm deathly afraid of getting them out. Is it at all possible to not have them taken out even if you don't have room for em?
