XP sucks.. Win2K forever!

I as well have seen less stability under XP than in 2000. I just refuse to use it if possible.

XP is just as stable as Win2k, plus it's prettier.

You can also go back to the classic GUI and you pretty much can't tell the difference from Win2k, except that it has more features.

Well aren't you lucky, it's dumber looking, and is not as fast as 2000 cause it uses more RAM perhaps? and it is not as compatible as 2000 I find.

boo.

WinXP is the way to go I`ve both 98 and WinXP and it`s rock stable also great for gaming, really no point going to Win2k since XP does all and more,Win2k is getting old and the diehard Win2k fans won`t let it die ,anyway there`s a new king in town called WinXP :D .

:)

Both of them are great, but I like XP better. For the clients I have to deploy at the office, I go Win2K.

Uses more RAM? how? do you have **anything** to back this up? Even if it did, I have 768MB so why would I care?

Actually, if you turn off all the 'moron look' stuff, it is faster than 2000. Just not as stable.

It's as stable if you are competent enough to set up your system right.

I'm kinda stuck with XP since the drivers for my crappy HP 3300C scanner don't work with Windows 2000 Pro. Though at first I didn't really like XP, after a while of using it, I'm starting to get used to it now and actually I am beginning to like it! :Q

I like winXP pro. I found it to be just as stable as win2k was, plus it boots faster. Even if I don't ever have to reboot from a crash, it seems that a lot of programs require a reboot when i update/install them, so the fast boot times are nice. I went back to the classic windows look right away, though.

Win2k Pro at work, WinXP Pro & Win2k AS at home.

I really enjoy the added features of XP pro, and I have been fairly impressed with it's speed and stability, though I'm not sure that I would run misssion-critical apps on it yet.

Go with XP! I've been using both since the release of the beta 1, and XP had the least amount of problems for me. Besides, it uses the same amount of Ram Win2K does with out the GUI. I still use the GUI with a different theme. ChosenOS theme rox! :)

??? My XP never crashes on me...

And besides... the bootup time alone is worth going Windows XP.

I went from 98, to 2000, and now XP.

Been running 2k for 20 months and can't recall any time when I had to do a hard reboot.

Exactly!!! :)
Former w2k user who is quite happy with XP.
