Poll: window lite version?

I notice microsoft OS are getting slower and bigger evey year. I wish MS would release a lite version of win me, win 2000. the lite version should only have the basic OS files , no B.S applications like calculators, desktop wall paper, and those mofo system restore files (took 20 mins to figure how to delte those Biatch files).

Well, there's always a minimal install, but even that is pretty bloated.

heh, my computer's speed barely changes from installation to just before I reformat.. the only thing I wish I could do is have a better control panel (still) for control over all the little things windows does in the background (you know, there are many little tweak programs that u have to have running in order to enable their tweaks, which takes up memory, loading time, and CPU resources, not to mention they don't do everything).

if MS would have something like that, then I'd be much happier with 2k (it takes so much damned memory, and isn't too light on the CPU either)..

Not only is 98Lite a great program for that, you can custom install Windows 98 and take out the calculator, desktop themes and all that other crap....
