F*CK! I meant to click win2k and I thought I did I wasn't really paying attention though and I hit submit and realized I had picked ME. Who wants to use ME? 😕
the reason i am asking is because i am going to use ME or 98 SE and I want to know which I should use. For compatibility reasons I am going to forego 2K for now.

Can I ask what you have that's incompatible? Most people who say Win2K is incompatible with their stuff haven't actually tried it.
I upgraded my Windows 98SE to ME for a while and had no problems with it at all. The only thing that made me revert back was the fact that I couldn't use my ISP's set-up disk under ME, and would have to call them to get it up and running.
They don't have 24hr tech support. And I'm usually online at odd hours, and lazy at that 😉
So I went back.
and im really comfortable with the win9x environment and setup... wouldnt want to learn something new 🙂.... altho I may set up a dual boot ME/XP... does that sound like a good idea?
I'd go with 98SE. I personally think that ME bites the big one. I installed it on my computer just to see if it would be any good, and it crashed on boot. Plus, I'd like to think that it was intentional that I crashed the ME machine at work just to get 98 put back on it. 🙂
With no doubt 98SE is the better OS, ME is far too unstable, and is too annoying and overly animated to do simple tasks. I'm hopefully buying W2K soon, but almost fell over when the full version was $670Aust. This is compared to $320Aust. for 98SE.🙂
I personally like Win ME over Win 98. It's more stable (Less Explorer crashes for me), doesn't become as sluggish as Win 98 does and boots up and shuts down faster. Performance is identical to that off 98 in games, and it has a slightly more polished look.
