[POLL] - Will you vote for your president this year ?

rh71

No Lifer
I've never voted before... and I have every intention to this year. I don't think it has ever been so important who our leader will be the next few years.

Yes i will vote. I vote every time there is a election.

BUT i still do not know who i am going to vote for. I dislike them both.

Bush creates instability and wars, people die without a reason (or made-up "WMD" reasons), Bush wants to destroy the environment even further (oil drilling in antarctic wildlife preserve), and since Bush is president our economy has NOT improved but stayed flat. Bush also wants to put social security money in 'the open market' (Where should money for retired people come from if the SS money goes in stocks instead to the government ?) Essentially means he will also destroy social security.

If you want our economy/social system totally going downhill, together with a destroyed earth/environment and more (proven senseless !) soldier deaths and more instabilty and less support by other nations - then go and vote for bush too.

It CAN not get worse than what we have now...therefore, solely for giving him a chance, i would vote for Kerry.

STFU, wrong forum. All you had to say was yes or no.

First, to address the question of the OP. Yes, I will be voting. I never miss an election. I haven't decided if I'm voting for Bush or Badnarik. Probably Bednarik b/c Bush will most likely carry Alabama anyway.

Now for the crap I quoted. I'm not going to debate the finer points of the Iraq situation because even Kerry admitted that he voted to attack Iraq based on the intelligence available at the time. The rest of that garbage....give me some numbers for the economy. All the indicators I've seen thus far show the economy improving (not that I really give Bush any credit for it...nor do I blame a President for a tanking economy). As for Social Security...well, I'm probably voting for the Libertarian candidate so you should be able to figure out my opinion on entitlement programs and wealth redistribution. Do you look for the government to solve all your problems (SS, welfare, prescription drugs, etc...)? Take your FUD elsewhere....like down to the P&N forum where I'm sure your fellow nutjobs (ie. Dave) can pat you on the back for being a "progressive thinker".

On that note....I'm out of this thread.

The same phenomenon with the opposite candidate exists here in California, but I think I'll vote anyway.

Yes.

Actually, people shouldn't vote unless they know the issues and care about them one way or another. Don't just vote because it's your right. Vote for what you believe in or don't vote, IMHO. I'd hate to have my vote canceled by someone who's just voting because they can.

I still wished they had a "None of the Above" on the ballot though 🙂

May the best man win (iow, go Kerry!) 😛

I won't vote for the current president. It's time to send that @ssclown back to texas where his daddy can kick his ass.
