Nope, I used H&R Block for the first time last year & will continue with them.

Besides, last year they found a pretty big credit that TurboTax didn't.

I switched to Taxcut last year, and vowed not to use Intuit crap again...

...but, this year, Fidelity Investments gave me a free copy of Turbotax Deluxe, so I guess I'm gonna whore myself out to Intuit.

You don't have to download anything. They have a web version on their site. When you're done you save a PDF of your taxes for your records.

kranky hit the nail on the head. Intuit has lost my business. Last year I switched to TaxCut after years of using TT, and it worked just fine. I'll use it again this year. Intuit is not sorry for their 'mistake', they are sorry the public didn't buy it and it cost them money. They'd do it again in a heartbeat if they thought they could get away with it......

I switched to TaxCut several years back. Last year I switched from Quicken to MS Money for free with rebates. Got sick and tired of Quicken asking me to register my software every 10 seconds (whether it was running or not).

Yeah, I used it last year. I wouldn't use H&R block if you gave me their service free and a bj on the side.

EDIT actually I used taxcut last year. I might this year again.

EDIT2: The memories flood back. I did my taxes for the first time every last year with assistance (the year before I had to do it myself due to my weird multi-national taxes, and all years prior my mom's accountant did them for free). I remember picking taxcut because of Turbotax installing AIDs in your computer, and as others above have mentioned, I can't see me really forgiving them over it. So, I'll probably get taxcut again this year. Also I'm used to the software, so what the heck.

Nope, Turbo Tax lost my business for good, unless Tax Cut does something stupid. I used Tax Cut last year and didn't have any problems. I plan on using that software again this year.

Every year I seem to get TaxCut for free (or nearly free) after rebates, so I have used that while double-checking with my own figures for the past few years.

well unless u have some very simmple taxes it better to either use a program or pay professional to pay it. Do you really want to have irs come after u in 2 years?

yeap. just the way i feel.

no turbotax for me this year.

I will grab taxcut next time i go to the store.

You don't have the math skills to do it manually? :Q

The instructions on the standard forms are written for a 3rd grade reading level and the math isn't much harder.

Tried Tax Cut last year and could not stand it. Went back to TT, which I will be using again this year. Just purchased last week at BB with free MS Optical Wheel Mouse. I have been using TT ever since it started out as ChipSoft.

I just use the online version of TurboTax... I've never spent a penny on software for doing my taxes...
