I am not a Republican - I am just not a fan of Obama at all. The guy sweet talked himself into the White House and made a fool out of everyone who voted for him.

Compare areas where each has had a lot of influence. Dems own education and Reps have had more influence in military. Of course education has become a disaster and military functions reasonably well. You can see the same division looking at states. Big Dem states like California and New York are evolving into failed state status. History isn't kind to Dems either - having been party of slaveholders and then Jim Crow for almost 100 years. Heck even FDR opposed anti-lynching laws the GOP was for. The vote for civil rights act of 1964 (based on things Eisenhower tried to get done but Dems voted down or blocked) had more Reps than Dems voting for it. Dems tend to be irrational where reality is concerned - hence their inclination to support US enemies (Soviet Union, China, radical Islamists like Muslim Brotherhood etc) while throwing banana peels under Uncle Sam's feet. All the bag guys are happiest when Dem becomes POTUS.
