POLL: Who uses digital zoom on their digital cameras?

I have 5.6x digital zoom and no real zoom. I also disable the digital zoom.

My camera has a 12x optical zoom, which is enough. The digital zoom usually ends up producing less sharp pics.

I'm not sure why you'd want to. No, I don't. 10X optical zoom on my Fuji.

My camera has 10x optical zoom, which is usually quite sufficient. In the rare case that it's not, digital zoom isn't going to make the image any better (it'll be worse obviously), and I could do that later in software if I wanted to.

Edit: Camera is a Canon Powershot S1 IS if it matters.

Yes, I do. I used my camera's optical zoom + digital zoom for this photo (among other photos).

I don't have digital zoom.. I only have it when I'm viewing a picture I've already taken... Canon 300D.. I have optical zoom though..

I use it so I can zoom further than my 28-200 zoom allows. Then, in psp, I zoom in even further, turning my 28-200 zoom into a nice 1600mm zoom
