The bottom line is since Mrs. Skoorb owns...well you know....what SHE owns, she pretty much owns YOU!!!!!

it has already depreciated to a point that is lower than the current loan balance.
Not by much! We bought it a couple of years old so that I'd never be in the hole much.
You ain't billing - if you're here posting.
That's what you think *evil grin*.

The wife does! Remember, you're a slave to her and her only...so she gets all the luxuries :)

(My mom got all the BMWs.)

You and MrsSkoorb both own it, you live in a community property state.

In any case, who uses it the most? Who was it bought for? If you signed the dotted line, but it was really meant for her, then she gets to decide what to do with it.

Making the money or signing on the dotted line does not automaticly give you decision making power.

My own 3.2 cents. :D

If I were you, i'd go along with saying it's "her car" regardless. It doesn't do any harm to do so, plus it's a far more satisfactory result than having a judge decide that question for you, as his opinion is what winds up mattering, not yours or ours.

He should also state the following:

When I go out in the morning to go to work and both cars are parked there, I take the MAXIMA.
You both own both cars, you simply use the Maxima and he uses the Sentra.

On average, I drive the MAXIMA more than he does. When we go places together, more often than not, he will want to take the SENTRA for whatever reason....
Cause he wants to drive? I know I prefer to drive when going somewhere with Thumper, don't ask me why. :)

Right now, who is bringing home more money? Hmmmmm? MrsSkoorb!
I think you guys are lucky to have such a great marriage that you can have these disputes, even in public, and not make it personal. I hope my own marriage to Thumper works out as well. :)

Actually, I don't think they should grow up any more, at least until they have kids anyway.

I admire their relationship, how public they can be without getting upset. It actually takes two mature people to be able to do that.

You know it's because you fear for your dear life when the woman is driving. :p

My wife would say, "her car" even if it were in my name. She would compare my 30k year, vs. her 65k year and she under "womans law" would win. I can't fight it....Money Talks! So really depends on whos the cash cow of the house.
