Nice picture of George in his dunce cap, Red. What's scary is that it's a tight fit.

Mwilding, Nitemare, you are full of crap. I alread won this argument a long time ago here, gave all the data, etc. You keep blowing smoke up your tushes though. The final full re-analysis of the Florida election proved that Gore won.

And Jelly, you are wrong too. We do elect our presidents by popular vote. The candidate who wins the state vote gets the electoral vote. Gore won the popular vote in Florida. Those were his electoral votes that Bush got. Gore won.

And the notion that it makes no difference is nonsense. Our rapid slide down the poop shute to pergatory has a lot to do with the fact that we have an imbicile at the helm. What happened to personal responsibility. Remember when everything was Clinton's fault. Now all of a sudden we've been taken over by a tiny minority sect of right winged fundamentalist Christians rapture jackoffs, and it's Oh God has given us some hard times. It's the will of God that we have to endure these trials and tribulations, but, with our butts on fire, we have faith. Hallalula, brothers, don't forget to vote for us next time. It's not our fault, it's God's fault. But but but, don't worry. We don't need a foreign policy. Don't worry, we don't need an economic policy, cause we're all going to hell, I mean heaven and real soon. It's almost here. Keep the faith and vote your fear. We are the good guys. Over there are the evil ones. That's all you need to know. All together now, We are the good guys. They are the bad guys.

I'd better get some ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZs in here in case Dave wants to move them.

Moonbeam you are so wrong it's pathetic.

Every major newspaper went down to Florida after the election to do their own independent count AND every one of them came to the same conclusion: BUSH WON!

You lose all credibility too when you state the President is determined by popular vote. And Bush was not the first President elected to office without the popular vote, so it is possible.

Wrong. Reagan's policies had a minor role in the fall of the Soviet Union. The real reason was Gorbachev and his reforms. Glasnost anyone?

Hey CPatheticA (Hehe, just kidding)I said I already won this argument. Here's a sample from the report on your every major newspaper study:

"The full statewide results of this recount ? what the voters actually wanted ? are not addressed until the 44th paragraph of the Miami Herald story. That's where a reader finds out that if the liberal ballot standards were applied statewide ? or even if somewhat more conservative standards were used ? Gore would have won."

You can get the full dose here

Read my lips. Of the legal ballots cast in the Florida election statewide, Gore Won.

And as to loosing all credibility stating that the presidency is determined by popular vote, you lose all credibility if you think that "And Jelly, you are wrong too. We do elect our presidents by popular vote. The candidate who wins the state vote gets the electoral vote. Gore won the popular vote in Florida. Those were his electoral votes that Bush got. Gore won." means I said that. I stated clear as a bell that the popular vote by states determines the electoral vote and that Gore won both.

That and $.50 will get you a cup of coffee and maybe an argument from some Republican Fanboy but not much else.

What we learned from Florida was its voting process and tabulation needed work. I haven't heard if progress was made there and in other states but I assume it's still a mess in places.

By the standards in place during the last election and by the court rulings, Bush won. The only way Gore "won" is if you slant the discussion using a lot of "if this, then that" suppositioning. The Ds tried to alter the system in their favor but it didn't work. I really don't understand the obession for revisionist history here.

Right. What's the point of arguing over it now?

What's the point in arguing over it now? What's the point of arguing over it now? Geez I hate these deep questions. Let me think a minute. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz <-------------------For The Chief.....................Hey, I got something. What's the point of arguing anything. I'm in California, sunshine, maybe 70, just took a walk along the bay, wonderful breeze, just PERfect. No reason at all. Probably just a reaction to listening to 8 years of the most disgusting, sniveling, whining, pack of anal retents ever assembled on the planatary surface pick and poke and lust and pry for any piece of dirt they could find to derail the last president who handed them their asses, despite the will of God, twice in presidential elections. Well I just think it's appropriate to remind all those gas bags that the new Mr. Character is a rubber chicken.

And 50 cents for a cup of coffee? That's what I leave for a tip. 😀

Hehehe.. Old Bubba did make them his bitch didn't he?🙂

Awe for crap sakes Jelly, why ridicule revisionist history and turn around and do it. I'll say it again. Gore won. If the Florida vote had been fully and legally counted without any if's or then's or any games actually as it was cast, Gore won. He won the popular vote in Florida. More people voted for him than Bush on legal ballots. The real president didn't get to take office.

ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Huh? Oh sorry. I musta dosed off. Although I don't agree with Moonies assertion that Gore won (we've been over this) I think the premise of the argument is worth repeating ad nauseam until we are sure the reforms necessary in the electoral system are in place and fully functional. In other words, that sh!t that happened in FL cannot happen again. No, Moonie, not the results, the process.
