Why is it so popular?

its overhyped just like the ipod, thats why its so popular. its the thing to have if you're "cool" or somehow is supposed to make you cool if you have one.

I never understood why a product being overhyped was a bad thing. Who cares if it's popular? For as many people who buy it because they think they are cool, there are just as many people who don't buy it for that reason. You're not on the right side of the track, my friend, you're standing right on it like everyone else.

because people and companies are pushing the product as the best thing out there when its not. there are other phones that are 10x better that do the exact same thing and cost less. just like the ipod. its piece of junk thats overpriced. why pay $400 for an ipod when you can get a nomad jukebox zen extra for $200? it does the same thing and is built better.

$400 for 30 gig? What have you been smoking? I can get a 30 gig Ipod with video playback for around $300 or less if you shop around. In addition, you say that the Zen Xtra is 10x better than the Ipod. You will have to explain that one to me cause I found the Ipod to be a lot easier to use than the Zen and a lot nicer for that matter. PM me and we can discuss it if you would like since this is way off topic.

That said, the Razr has been out on the market now for over a year now. If it is still getting hype, there must be some truth to it. Some cell phone enthusiasts have knocked the V3 as not very good. Personally, I like it. There are a lot of other people who believe the same thing. I really don't think it is hype when people are praising a product. Just my .02 cents.

A company pushing their product as the best so they can sell it????? Oh hell no, that's never been done before, what a stupid move on their part. /sarcasm

So you're telling me that if you had a product that you knew to be 4th best out there, you would market it as such? "My product isn't the best and costs more, but please still buy it!" And you say that a nomad jukebox blah blah blah is the same thing, but built better. Are you trying to tell us that you've owned an iPod for as long as you've owned a nomad thingy-majigger? Because otherwise, you have absolutely nothing to stand on your claim. And don't give me none of this bs about seeing it in the store or whatnot, you can't tell about the quality of a product until you've actually used it for a certain period of time.
