im still trying to get around to investing, i need to quit buying toys ;)

but two things i am seriously thinking will be good buys are IBM (amazing R&D, only getting better)
and the Genome Funds

both should have good returns a few years down the road

Damn it ... Nvidia shares @ $57.00 That's too expensive !!!

So why do anyone wanna buy 3Dfx shares if they're that cheap @ $2.50?

I've heard that Nvidia is gonna BUY out 3Dfx ... is that TRUE? cos if it is ...
then surely 3Dfx shares will RISE making you BIG profit. :)

Oh BTW ... How do I buy shares on the internet ?

I bought 600 shares of NVidia back when they where around $11 a share, sold after the split when they where worth $79.5..... thats about a 1500% profit.... now most of its in AMD.

3dfx is not cheap yet.

They still have 4 more months of very rough waters.

NVidia is cheap at the moment. It should be at $90 this time next year.

nVidia will probably bring us NV20 sooner than 3dfx will bring us the Rampage so buy 3dfx stocks when the NV20 is out.

3dfx shares are looking very attractive if your willing to hold on to them for a year. The return potential is much higher than that of Nvidia shares.

I think NVDA, AMD, and TSM are cheap.
TSM = Taiwan Semiconductor. They "are engaged mainly in the manufacture, sale, packaging, testing and computer-aided design of integrated circuits and other semiconductor devices, and the manufacture and design of masks. For the 9 months ended 9/30/00, net sales totaled NT$112.41B, up from NT$49.44B. Net income totaled NT$43.63B, up from NT$16.24B. Results reflect increased unit shipments of 8-inch equivalent wafers and higher average selling prices." From FOOL.COM
