So you lived in W. Lafayette for 15 years and are planning to go to school here too? Wow... lol, why aren't you running the hell away from this POS town?

Believe me, I REALLY want to get out of this boring hell hole, but my parents are forcing me to stay in state. I want to do engineering, so my only real choice is Purdue. Plus there's a big discount since my dad is a faculty.

That's good, I knew some kids whose parents were faculty. They had to keep a high GPA though to get free tuition. Just watch out for those high minimum GPAs, I know one or two that lost it after their freshmen year.

It depends on what buildings you're in. If you head through any liberal arts building you'll see them everywhere. Stay out of the engineering buildings though; they're trouble.

Yes, it seems to me I have heard Purdue mentioned once or twice... :)

I went to Purdue and I agree with your dad. :p

Seriously, Purdue has one of the best Engineering program in the Nation. The only thing I didn't like was the town, in the middle of nowhere so you got nothing to do. Plus the Basketball suck big time these days, and Orton (the current QB) is graduating....so the football isn't looking so hot either.

But overall, pretty typical big ten school, good school, boring campus....

That's so true, almost every guy I know who goes to Purdue complains about the lack of women. Even my sister says that guys complain about it.

My friend moved here from a college town in the middle of nowhere in Idaho. His town was smaller than West Lafayette and he said that there were more things to do there than here.

EDIT: At least it's only 2 hours away from Chicago, so you can go there on weekends.

I live in University Farms, so we're probably within a mile or two of each other, what a small world. Do you live in Jefferson Commons or something?
