The whole drug testing stuff in the states is retarded. Who cares if someone decides they want to do drugs on their own time. As long as they can get to work, be sober and do their job, who freaking cares. But same goes with conflict of interest crap, I think it's BS that companies can stop you from doing stuff off the clock. That should not be legal. They should not have that much reach.

True, but down here most drugs are still illegal. We're working on legalizing marijuana, so hopefully companies stop punishing employees for using it once we get over that hurdle.

Marijuana still has a stigma, you'd be a liability if you *were* high at work, and it being illegal means you could potentially be arrested for it and miss work. Those are the main arguments I've heard. They hold for alcohol as well, but for some reason that's still legal.

Ban both or allow both, either way is fine with me.

I'm pretty sure that "Alky" was/is a member here. If you are drinking from his "fountain" then more power to ya bud but I want no part of that.

also, you defame the hallowed name of alky in the thread title

big difference between a guy making pizza a dominoes that did meth 8 hours ago to a truck driver who did meth 8 hours ago. so no, drug testing is not retarded.

the moonlighting thing, i agree with you.

I clicked neither because i do not drink often anymore. Last drink was about 2 months ago and next drink will probably be another two months from now.
I stick to coffee, tea, carbonated water, and fruit juice.
I do not smoke weed anymore for at least 15 years and i did that occasionally, i sometimes think about getting some weed and smoke, but then i remember the smell and i decide not to.
