Leno is a rube who asks the same thre questions to each guest over and over. Good mirror of the shallowness that is hollyweird, tho.

Letterman deserves a capital "L," please.

I usually watch Letterman's monologue because I like him better, but then switch back and forth when the guests come on. Leno usually has better guests because of his location. I do hate Leno's interaction with the guests though. Letterman is much better IMO.

I like to watch Conan occasionally if I stay up that late watching tv. I couldn't stand him in the beginning with his whiny voice. I'm sure glad that he worked on that. He's actually turned into a good tv host.

submitted none of the above instead of conan plz correct or note. He's so much funnier than letterman and leno. Not to mention you don't see any of there shows getting picked up by comedy central! I really don't think letterman is funny at all, hate jays style of humor and kilborne...just isn't the same since the daily show...those where good times...good times...yes.

edited: forgot to mention Stewart rocks on the daily show but i don't consider that the same thing as Late night shows such as letterman/Leno and such.

Funnyness by percent... Stewart 38/100 then conan 37/100, 20/100for kilborne with 5/100 split between the combined efforts of the two L's

if you're gonna include conan, you have to include kilborn also...
that said,
Leno is pretty terrible... all of his jokes seem so incredibly staged and one-dimensional... Letterman is damn funny; his humor can be much more obscure, which I reckon bars many from enjoying it, but he is definately the superior of the two.

Leno or Conan. Letterman and his sidekick aren't funny whatsoever. I think he targets the older audience.

I get over 200 or is it 300 channels plus I have 100s to 1000s of movies on tape or cd. Compared to that watching Dave, Leno, et al is scraping the bottom of the barrel.

What's old to you? 30? His sidekick isn't really a sidekick. Paul Schaffer is his band leader. Remember when Leno had Brandford Marsallis as his band leader? When he left the Tonight Show he really slammed Leno. Marsallis said that he was tired of laughing at Leno's jokes (that he didn't think were funny).

leno at the 10:30 time slot unless letterman has someone big on, and then conan always at 11:30

This baffles me too...
Letterman is way overrated... Leno is ok, but the jokes are too repetitive (not in the funny sense) like Conan's running mannerisms

Leno:
good writers, good clean jokes, loveable guy, seems intelligent

Letterman:
no writers, no jokes, provoke laughter by laughing yourself and throwing a pencil, seems to be stupid

Conan:
decent writers, sometimes very funny/sometimes very stupid, dumb skits, funny skits, makes too much fun of his show every episode, not as good as Leno - but still pretty damn good

Jon Stewart:
make fun of everything, make fun of serious issues, scoff at everything, yet offers no other solutions, needs a kick in the ass

He's on too damn late. I've got work in the morning, and I don't get the rerun on comedy central, so the choices are limited to leno and letterman, neither of whom are very funny.

I watch Conan "the day after" on Comedy Central.

I think the NBC/Comedy central Conal deal should be implemented for many other shows. Some of us have to get up early for work and can't stay up for the late night shows.

For me it's 1) Conan, 2) Letterman, 3) Leno, 4) Kilborn. Kilborn is just terrible. Does he _ever_ have a good guest?
