mom.

my dad yells a lot, but it's mostly just hot air... and, I mean, how seriously can you take a frenchman yelling?

my mom, on the other hand, very rarely gets mad, but when she does, your only hope for survival is to either leave the house or stay in your room and be so quiet that she forgets your home.

I've only ever seen her pissed off at my once... and that was when I failed 6 classes in junior high, forged her signature on the letters that were being sent home and on the report card, and she had to find out about it when a teacher stopped by the house because he was concerned about my home situation.

Neither really.

Used to be afraid of dad because of his hot temper and would on occasions get physical. Now that I'm older I get into heated arguments with him so often in the last year that fear no longer exists. Stood up to him more than I really should.

Honestly, I'm not that great of a son, in my eyes, and in his eyes as well.

The only thing I do for him is support him financially by staying at home instead of moving out. If I moved, we'd both be tight financially. So in a way I'm doing this for myself as well.

Relationship wise, I hardly have a word with him at all. I do talk more with mom.

I'm 36. So neither. I love my mother very much and miss my father terribly.

Heh, why does this thread now remind me of the Sharks in Finding Nemo? :D
