[poll] - who already has gmail ?

I have my own domain, but I really want to know if I can forward all my mail to gmail, that'd be fantatstic!

(don't have an account, but want one!)

Got my own domains, and an account that I use with my ISP because its simple to remember. (spammers think so too 😉).

Yes you could do that, the question is WHY would you want to do that?

I have my own too, but the imail interface is so dang slow...

So use a different interface.
just set up pop/smtp for that account through mailwasher. No more IMAIL ! What could I have done without you ? You made me get off my lazy ass and set that up.

I got one last week for some of the accounts I manage on their ad network, but still haven't seen the option to add people via invites yet. Seems like a pretty nice service and I'm glad I was able to get the nickname I've always wanted on a major e-mail service. But it's honestly no big deal IMO. My work e-mail will continue to be my primary e-mail address and I won't be abandoning my Yahoo e-mail either (just FYI, they're supposedly going to be bumping their space up to 100MB or more.)

i have one. to be honest, i still use hotmail as my primary because a) everyone has it, and b) i'm notified of new emails on my cell phone via a text message, so i only check my mail when i know i have new messages (and junk mail is on exclusive, so i don't get spam alerts)

I got Hotmail about an hour ago... it said to pay them if you want to up your 2MB storage. THey need to get their @$$ is gear.

Pretty much all the major free email services (Yahoo, Hotmail, etc) are going to have to expand their storage space. Supposedly Yahoo will be expanding theirs to at least 100MB and sites like Lycos have considered expanding to 1000MB like Google. Not sure what Hotmail's plans are, but I doubt they'll leave things status quo.

The fact of the matter is that MOST people won't even come close to touching 1000MB, let alone 100MB which is why Google is smart in offering it. It looks really impressive for helping to quickly draw in a large user base, but they know it'll be overkill for the vast majority of users.
