ok...

so i already know the channel is worthless as a news source, but as i'm watching it the topic of "bennifer" comes up! WTF?! didn't this happen like 5 years ago? How important do they think the majority of their viewers (a bunch of hicks) find this sh!t? And calling every democratic candidate an insane idiot doesn't add much to their credibility either. Everything Bush does is excellent, and when a democrat makes the slightest fault, they magnify it like no other. So i'm wondering who the hell watches that sh!t and considers it to be based on fact?

btw...i think they should change the name of the channel. They should no longer call it FOX NEWS rather FOX OPINION channel. It's so ridiculous... They had a segment on the disappointment regarding locating WMDs in iraq, and almost every single caller supported the war and its motives despite the failure of finding anything threatening. heh.... wtf!?

A lot of those people would have supported the invasion and occupation whether there was WMDs or not. It's those who were not rabid Bush supporters yet were convinced by Bush that Iraq had massive quantities who are questioning his motives.

Myself, i prefer to watch the Communist News Network when i am at home.
In the car, I listen to National Proletariat Radio. Comrade Jennings is my favorite news anchor. I can't wait for Comrade Franken to get his radio show going, so I can get the real skinny on the news from him...

heh. I live down the street from CNN headquarters.. FOX has a couple ads right in front of their building.

One says,, "Come home, Connie. CNN needs you" and something about Fox and Friends being the most viewed morning show.

You're a joke. On one hand you say "i am very tired of these efforts to personally smear and libel and label every Republican or Conservative that posts on this forum...I try very hard to avoid personal ad hominum, i try to stick to issues, use links, i try very hard not to criticise individuals. " and on the other hand your rant is more biased than that which you criticize.

At least CAD doesn't take himself seriously all the time and even he (hopefully) won't make the ridicuous claim that CNN is more biased left than Fox is biased right.

Go back to listening to limbaugh and coulter so you can come back and tell us why blacks shouldn't be QBs and how liberals hate Jews and Christians.

You have to realize this place (P&N) is chock full of hypocrites...on both sides of the fence.

Typical liberal tactic making assertions of fact...and yet his posts are full of assertions.
I won't comment on it because people can opine either way...and yet this is true for virtually any subject.
I'm done commenting on it because it doesn't effect me personally...and yet this poster continually posts on subjects that don't effect him.

No names given because I just wanted to point out that some of this forum's more active members are hypocrites, I don't necessarily want to get into it with them...as you know, some people are never wrong.

I would call FOX a joke but there's one huge problem . . . many people actually watch it and believe they are being informed of reality. As for the morning shows, all of them are garbage but arguably FOX has accelerated the decline from fresh waste to fetid. NPR and McNeil-Lehr (even though it's not called that anymore) and BBC World are the best sources of reliable news in America. NPR and NewsHour invariably allow the actual newsmakers to provide their POV instead of the CNN, FOX, MSNBC mode of giving a soundbite followed by interpretation. Even the interview shows on the ?news channels? are a farce b/c they revolve around the personality (or lack thereof) of the host instead of an actual airing (and exchange) of ideas.

Yes, it is a shame to call FOX a news channel, but, it is entertaining to watch...and I think that's most important to them. I'm just curious to know if there are some who cringe when folks like O'Reilly or Hannity get their asses handed to them...or, like me, they smile when that happens.

I was Googling this morning, and when I came across this item I actually smiled as I read it.

I see we're meeting our weekly quota of FOX bashing threads.:p

Yes FOX leans right, and most of the rest lean left. But IMO - the TV media still ends up left on the bias meter.

How many actually consider CNN a reliable news source. CNN should be called the liberal propaganda network. It's worthless. Last year an upper level exec at CNN even admitted that CNN covered up many of Saddam's atrocities all throughout the '90s.
Fox News is MUCH more reliable than CNN.

I actually force myself to watch FNC periodically just so I know what the conservo-publicans are up to. :) It's not quite as bad as I originally thought it would be, however there definitely is a subtle tilt to the right -- especially when you get the talking heads telling what they think rather than just telling you what actually happened. It pops up even moreso on their "personality" shows like Hannity and Strawman & O'Reilly. Plus, there's this overwhelming whiteness to their personnel. What's up with that? Fox almost seems unconcerned with having any token minorities at all. Must play well in certain demographics or something . . .

Who actually watchs TV, listens to the Radio, or reads new on the internet and actually takes it seriously? Every source is 100% biased one way or the other. If you think otherwise, you are just as bad as the people you are laughing at right now. Especially people who think CNN is not biased (I almost spit up my drink when I read that). All news is biased and you only see what you want to see. It's proven fact in psycology. If you believe that there are UFOs, you will find evidence to support your claim and you will ignore any evidence that contradicts your belief. The same thing goes with politics. If you hate Bush, you will find overwhelming evidence to support your belief, while ignoring all evidence to the contrary. If you love Bush, you will find overwhelming evidence to support your belief, while ignoring all evidence to the contrary. Yet, everyone thinks they are right and that they know the truth. It's sad how deluded people are.

I've stopped listening to all media outlets. As we know they all lie, and you only find the truth on Kazaa and tin-foil blogs ;)

I watch Fox for a change of pace. Sometimes I'm in the mood for a little conservative rah-rah so I'll turn it on. The actual news items are straight, it's the talk from the hosts that is funny. Besides, if you have half a brain you can form your own opinion and you'll know when the BS is coming.

Yeah, and Hannity and Combs really reflect two fair partisans debating issues objectively and Combs isn't really the b!tch...

CNN is much more objective than the FOX tabloid, if you remember, all the news networks covered the Clinton/Monica scandal to death.

Mainstream media is a joke. Everyone has an agenda and slants whichever way favors it.

I quit trusting the news years ago after the Randy Weaver thing. I had been watching the BBC talk about it for over a week before any US media.
