Poll: Which Windows 7 Edition are you getting ?

FYI: Pro version has all the features of the Home version plus additional features.

See here for more information: http://forums.anandtech.com/me...=2273767&enterthread=y

Release Date: No deadline according to Microsoft. They say they will release when quality threshold is high enough. {insert your own joke here}

I am pleased with Vista Ultimate. If MS offers to give it away free for monitoring my system for 6 months I will get it, that's how I got Vista Ultimate

I have 2 copies of Vista and am happy with them so far. No real reason to upgrade right now or any time soon.

OP
Why would you presume that I will be getting an edition of Windows 7?

Finally, an upgrade from XP. Bring on DX11!

@ Vista users: Thank you for beta-testing W7 for us for the last couple years.

Did I not include a lot of choices?

What does that have to do with me?

After reading that thread, buying anything but Ultimate would be like buying a paraplegic OS.

Pro.

Don't really see any advantages to any of the others.

They better make it damn cheap though, I'm not gonna upgrade my Vista Ultimate if it cost much.

Whichever one I get for free from MSDNAA.

It'll probably be Win7 Professional, if past experience holds true.

If you aren't interested in Windows 7 then pick one of the other OSes in the list. I think I listed all the recent modern ones that people actually use.

Dunno,
I'm kinda picky about things sometimes, so I may wind up with Ultimate, or I may wind up going with Pro or Home ... Depends on if I will ever use any of the features, or if there's anything I can't live without ...

No problem. *tips hat*

I don't know who I hate more, the people who bashed Vista relentlessly without just cause, or those who are now jumping on the W7 bandwagon because for some reason it's "cool".

No, I like W7 because I'm using the beta right now, and this is what Vista should have been.
