What's the predominant OS in this part of cyber land? Let's find out.

That means which OS has the most up-time. If you run Windows 70% of the time and Linux 30%, that means you predominantly run Windows. 😛 Sorry, thems the rules. 🙂

What if I have 3 boxes running Linux 100% of the time and one box dualbooting? Does that mean I run Linux 350% and Windows 50%?

Not that I boot Windows that often, but what if =)

If you're a 50-50 guy, then I guess you're running LinBlows.

Don't make me do the math for the 3 boxes. 🙂 I could do it, but then I would feel more like an techno geek.

2 boxes of Linux = 66.67% Total
Dual boot box:
Linux 50% = 16.665% Total
Windows 50% = 16.665% Total

You're roughly 83.3% Linux uptime w/ those numbers. 🙂

right now i run debian and open bsd. and yes, soon i will have the need for a win2k box for gaming purposes.

down time?.. there is such a thing? 😉

OpenBSD on 3 machines
Win 2K Server / Pro on others.. all run 24/7

One box has Linux / Windows XP
One box has Win 98SE (I know I know, should put Linux on, put hey, I'm new to Linux so give me time 😛)

And my Favorite one ---> One box with Windows 2.0, damn right! I really said Windows 2.0 HHAAHAHAHAHAH

2 machines running OpenBSD
1 machine running Debian Linux
1 iBook running Mac OS X (Mac OS 9 too, but I rarely use it)
1 ppro that will have OpenBSD installed on it soon
1 new Athlon that will have OpenBSD installed on it at the end of this week or beginning of next

Those are the ones I own.

Wow, Old school windows 🙂

Windows 2000 Pro x2 100% of the time and Windows Xp Pro x1 100% of the time.

Windows total 300%. 🙂

But I do have Red Hat and Mandrake to try also. I am sure I will be posting when I attempt Linux.

debian linux pretty much 100% of the time. the only time i touch windows is when my g/f left the computer on and i have to shut it down 🙂

Debian
Debian
Solaris
OpenBSD
Win2K
WinXP

If anyone wants percentages, you figure it out, Im too tired 😉

1 box running FreeBSD
1 box running WinXP + RedHat
1 box running WinXP + Mandrake
1 box running RedHat (using LFS)

my favorite one is probably FreeBSD... hehe

Hehe yeah, well anyway there is not any difference between Windows 2.0 and Windows 95,98,ME,NT,2k and XP... They all crash! heheeh so since the beginning of Microsoft, they haven't improved 😀

RH linux most of the time
Solaris occationally for school work
Minix sometimes for fooling around

Win2k w/ litestep
FreeBSD
Linux Mandrake (getting ready for XP on VMware)
As soon as I get my two new HDD's I might have another 2 boxes, at least 1 for sure... not sure what to install...

1 box running Win2K
1 box dual booting Win2k and WinXP
and on my 3rd box just started messing with FreeBSD.... felt like it was time to get serious....🙂
