Hello Guys:
Your local little genius here 😛. I just finished making two banners for Pokeball.net and I was wondering what you guys thought of it. Take the poll and tell me which one is better.

If you think you can come up with something better and it actually IS better please post it here and I will gladly send you a free Dragonball or Pokemon Movie Fansub or a Pokemon doll or Dragon Ball cards. Your choice. If it's damn good, I'll send you all of it!

<Edit>I was refering to the pokemon, the banners actually show some skill, and you're probably right I couldn't do any better. But about the pokemon, well, i find it an odd hobby</EDIT>
 
Why not instead of insulting them, offer some constructive criticism?

The banners look fine, as far as banners go.

<Edit>: as for which I like better, I like the top one better.

Hehe, well if I made it more spicier then it would load too slow. I'm looking for something small and attractive.
 
I like the top one better by far. I think what the bottom one is lacking is a background. The gradient you have in the first one does a good job of grabbing the eye to the 'toon character, while the plain black just seems bland to me. (It could also me the yellow character that I don't like, I'm not sure.)
 
<sigh> pokemon</sigh> Anyways I like the picture with Ash in it. <sigh> I actually know his name 🙂 </sigh>

The first one looks pretty good. I'd go with that one.
 
Gotcha. First one it is. Do you think the second one would TOP the first one if there was a gradient present?
 
Make one like the &quot;Punch the Monkey&quot; banner. But make it say &quot;Shoot the Pokemon&quot;. And make it so you can shoot the Pokemon.
 
plain and simple. both are good.

but on the other hand... banners.... YUCK!!

I've learnt through the years to automatically filter them out... so I could goto a site full of banners and not notice any! I'm sure many of us do the same. Just like how I didn't notice there was a mushkin banner at the top of this site until someone told me...

try something new... like a... tv ad... haha, j/k
