POLL: Which is Worse?

See above.

Gas, because it's going $2-3 a gallon.

RAM because it's twice the price it was last summer

Medicine, well, read the other thread.

Other, tell me, I'll add it if I it's deemed reasonable.

hmmm,

you don't need expensive gas because you can walk, take a bus, or wait for the price to drop

you don't need expensive ram because you can also wait for the price to drop

Medicine? if you wait, you could die.

I vote gas, over medicine, because gas IMHO gas is more essential to everyday life than medicine.

Both kind of suck if you want it now though 😛

I've been waiting for one 512MB stick to drop from $140 for a few months, It's over $175 now. =/

i voted RAM because the others are still priced WAY WAY WAY below what they could charge based on demand. so shut it and pay up, cause you're all the bitches of the oil and pharmacutical companies.

my parents pay for my gas, and I never buy OTC drugs, so I guess that leaves RAM.

Which is actually insanely expensive. When I built my computer a few years ago, I could get a nice stick of 256Mb DDR for $30! Not this sh!t is damn expensive, pissing me off. I could use some more RAM!

Anything fat-free, sugar-free or a combination of both. They are always more expensive than their counterpart. I'm getting less, but paying more - come on!

PS. I understand the reason why (extended manufacturing processes, market conditions), I still think it's a ripoff.

Whoa, I turn my back and the price of RAM went up. Shows how long it's been since I upgraded!

Ah well, it's a commodity. The price swings all the time. Just because it's been low for a while doesn't mean it'll stay there forever. I once paid $200 for a 128MB stick of PC100 (a great deal at the time too). And then again, I once made a good chunk of change by buying a goodly number of 256MB sticks of PC2100 for $21 each and then selling them 2-3 months later for about $70 each. Such is the way of things.

I haven't bought RAM for a while though so this doesn't affect me.

OTOH, the price of gas has been a real bitch lately, and I get about 25 mpg.

Medicine is only expensive if you're unhealthy (or a hypochondriac 😛 ).
