Western or fantasy swords (claymore, flamberge, etc): These grand weapons of justice also represent prestiege, honor and valor. The might of this sword will serve coup de grace to ones that are beyond redemption.

I like Western swords better, but that straight Asian sword is nice. I don't like Katanas. Straight is better.

it's an asian sword, but not a slashing weapon like a katana. it's designed specificall for stabbing.


oh, and my brother got a katana and wakazashi for birthday and christmas.

it looks nice 🙂

edit: 2000 dollars nice... folded steel blade, etc.

Not a big fantasy guy or swords guy so i guess my opinion doesn't really matter, but I find Western fantasy stuff to be more interesting.

Your example 1 Asian sword doesn't look like a katana.
 
Not all Asian swords are katanas, and all katanas are Japanese. masamune is actually the name of a famous katana maker from Japan. You play final fantasy too much. 😛

A light sword like the green jaded sword of destiny is cool.
