POLL: Which insect would you like to see extinct first: Cockroaches or Mosquitos?

I live with both of them here in Houston, and I hate 'em! I wish they'd all die, but if I had a choice, las cucarachas would be gone first...

Your thoughts?

Roaches. They are useless and carry nastiness. Mosquitos, while carry nastiness, feed other animals so they are sorta necessary.

Mosquitos. They are annoying, disease ridden, and bite.

But, if we killed all the mosquitos, Minnesota would have to come up with a new state bird.

Can I vote for Rambus? shame it`s not an insect 😉,anyway my vote goes to the nasty mosquito.

I'd vote cockroaches. Mosquitos can be killed with a newspaper and forgotten. Cockroaches leave nastiness when you smoosh em. Then I gotta clean it up. 🙁

Interesting thread..

Ironic since if the world ended because of Nukes going off everywhere and mankind and everything else is wiped out forever, Cockroaches would still survive 🙂. Atleast thats what Science predicts.

Roaches, definately roaches.

Saltboy,

I live on the west side of Houston (Katy, actually). Nice neighborhood, house is only 4 1/2 years old, have an exterminator over every three months and I still found a tree roach in the entry way to my house this morning. For those who don't know, tree roaches are the biggest in North America, I believe. 3-4 inches long, an inch or two wide and they can FLY!:Q

I've never had a problem with roaches, so I'll have to vote for mosquitoes. And ants, too. At my house. my dad is always "fighting ants," as he says. They got into our air conditioner once in the middle of summer (in South Carolina) and got bug guts all over the contacts and caused the AC to stop working.

Mosquitos. I'm allergic (or so they say -- at least moreso than the average person) and I get very large, very itchy welts from mosquito bites. Not dangerous to my health at all, unless you want to count my mental health when I have mosquito bites all over my body and only two hands with which to scratch.

well, despite the fact that my office mate has MALARIA and we have had recent outbreaks of DENGUE FEVER, I'd say the roaches have to go. It is their mating season right now :disgust:

<< neither. Spiders. eeewwwwwww i hate spiders. >>

I cannot stand spiders. We had a problem with them a few months ago because we live right next to a woods, I was laying on my bed watching a movie and a HUGE wolf spider came scurrying into my room. Absolutely scared the piss out of me.
But out of the two I'd have to say cockroaches. I hate them too 😱
