Three days a week would be wonderful. Right now I don't have a full-time job, I'm a student and have a part-time job.
Hell, sign me up for 3x14 so I get 2 more hours than 40 instead of 1 less than 40. Factor in these additional factors
1) Probably get lunch+dinner on the clock (I had a crappy retail job that required you to clock out, but all of my other jobs have been on the clock for all meals)
2) Late evening work = most people are probably gone, so you're more able to neff at work without getting caught
3) 5 day weekend, there are no crowds anywhere on weekday afternoons
4) Less commute time, saving gas money and time
It's a matter of YOUR efficiency. Time savings add up when you factor in commuting time and time required to wind down from work (I need an hour of two of sitting around doing nothing before I can do anything after a 10-hour shift). Many people have an hour commute to and from work, some have even more than that. Let's say you use 2 hours travelling to and from work every day. Let's also say that you need an hour a day to wind down from a long day of work. That's 3 hours per day that are essentially wasted. On the shortest work week, you're saving 6 hours per week. You can get a lot of stuff done in 6 hours that you can't get done sitting in rush hour traffic or watching the boob tube.
