Widescreen. I will only buy full screen if it's an old TV show.

EDIT: This is regardless of whether I'm watching on my 27" 4:3 or my 37" 16:9.

My tv is a fullscreen, however, I like my DVDs to be widescreen for the day when I get a widescreen TV ;)

If your answer is full screen, your TV is too small.

Full screen. Was a fan of widescreen, but i switch back lately, and quite honestly i really enjoy it full screen. When i watch a widescreen movie, i see all the action yeah, but on my television when watching fullscreen content, it look like 3x bigger.

I prefer widescreen but if it's not available(such as to rent), I'll take full screen. If I want to see the movie, I'll take it however I can get it. :)

OAR, being a film major, nothing else will suffice, especially if its 2.35:1.

full screen because I have a 4x3 tv.

If I had a 16x9 tv then I would like widescreen.

Anything that fills up the screen.

*sigh*

Widescreen does not "fill up the screen."

And the goal should not be to fill up the screen, it should be to see the ENTIRE picture of the film as it was intended to be seen.

what kind of reasoning is that? ...its called flat (1.85) and scope (2.35), and yeah...with 2.35 there are bars..so what. at least you get the whole picture...

OAR, I don't give a sh!t if it doesn't fill my 4:3 19" monitor, I want to see the whole damn picture, not some half assed attempted to make it fill my screen.
