I have a beige Chieftec case with a black windowed side panel. I've been toying with the idea of buying some black spray paint and respraying the case.

That would work, but if you want it to look nice for a long time you better wash the case first real well, let it dry and prime it first.

I normally like silver but I recently got an Piano Black Antec Sonata because it matched my desk and peripherals better. And I agree that it's really hard to get matching silver things. But silver goes with black at least. =)

I have a silver and black case (black with silver front) with 1 black and 1 silver drive, and black and silver moniter, black and silver headphones, silver and dark grey external HD, and black speakers with silver bases. All completely unintentional. The case looks like crap but the rest is good.

Now personally I perfer silver and red leds, but components for that are much harder to find than black and blue LED's.

My next case will also be a sonata, hopefully silver but i'll take what I can get. Except beige.

I like either, it depends on the case. For the most part, I think steel is good in black and aluminum in silver. I have a Lian-Li pc 65 and it looks awesome in its silver aluminum. Lian-Li sells drive bay covers for optical drives, floppys, etc. that match my case exactly! = )
