i'm the type of guy who likes to match things in a stylish way, and i find silver to be hard to match with everything in peripherals and furniture. i find black to match very well wtih dark wood and silver to match with really light colors. i started this thread because i think color kind of refects personality. :) kinda weird, but ya.

silver, because even the smallest amount of dust looks awful on a black box.

but it's hard finding silver components.

It really depends on the case...I usually like silver...but those AlienWare cases look cooler in black IMO. :p

black/silver or black/grey are quickly becoming the norm(compaq, emachine and dell). With hp going with a blue/grey. I prefer the black/silver cases.

I prefer Black usually, but on the Lian-Li PC-V1000/1200/2000 I like the Silver much better.

Silver. I like the answer soneone gave here about silver case with black drives. I'm in process of building a new machine based on a silver wavemaster. It seems so hard trying to get matching silver drives. Maybe I'll try black instead. After all the WM has a door.

My Coolermaster is silver w/black drives. No wonder I call it the Delorean. :D

tough call.
i think silver has the edge, although i really hate how silver is not a color you can easily match.. whereas black, you can simply buy black drives over the counter.

Well, mine have always been beige. Do I prefer that? Naw. It don't mean a thing.

I have a beige Chieftec case with a black windowed side panel. I've been toying with the idea of buying some black spray paint and respraying the case.
