Forgot to answer my own question. We'll be at my parent's house for the festivities.

umm, at about 10 AM i'll be leaving for the airport. At about noon my family and I will be checking in. At around 2 we'll be boarding our flight. 14 hours later, we'll be in Taipei 😀
