I think you need to disarm yourself of these personal attacks & flames, JG.

You're a hypocrite...specially in that 'can't we all just get along' type thread we had going a couple weeks ago. you play the innocent victim, yet i would say you appear to have caused the MOST personal attacks of anyone around here.

Actually I give Pers the benefit of the doubt. His perspective of it is that of a person who has close ties to that region (him being Persian).

i'm not persian

edit: but i'm not going to make you feel like an idiot.

i'm chaldean (middle eastern) and have a bit of sympathy towards the region.. that same sympathy i lack for most americans simply because they choose to remain ignorant
about everything. try convincing me otherwise.

How to convince the ignorant, given they are promised 6,972 virgins in the afterlife?

They all left to pakistan where it is safe.

Border of Afghanistan and Pakistan, Chechnya, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia.
The funding and the religious basis for Al-Qaeda comes from Saudi Arabia. Make no mistake about it.
The Saudis are building and funding Wahabbi mosques all over the world, it areas where the local population is largely unemployed and impoverished, and flocks to Wahabbism as a means of escape and self-respect.
Until that is addressed, the war for the hearts and minds of the Arab and Muslim world is lost.

It's a pretty well known fact that Wahabbis are taking advantage of religious tolerance in much of the civilized world to preach some very intolerant religious views. They assume that all Muslims living in civilized countries are somehow oppressed and longing to live in an Islamic state, and the ones who aren't are infitels or colloborators. They are on a landgrab to make as much of the world as they can into an Islamic state. These people are the first to use atrocious and despicable tactics against so called "infidels" or sympathisers, including civilians, and also the first to complain about "abuses" against muslim populations and use even minor transgressions as an excuse for jihad.

Who are the idiots who voted Iraq? Afghanistan and Pakistan would be my educated guess, with Saudi Arabia following behind.
