Why would you use the mouse or the top row?

If you even consider these as options, you need to go play the hammer game until you are comfortable with the number pad.
Or you are on a laptop and I pity your inefficiency.

Completely agree with you. My roommate uses the top row ALL THE TIME and it irritates me. Not to mention he is one of those people that double clicks on any link. I never got that.

Accountant here. The ten key pad on my keyboard is almost as worn as the regular keys.

I use the number pad and i have the shortcut button to the calculator right above the number pad.

Yep, still do the start-run thing.. Quicker than doing all those clicks in the menus to find the calc

i never use the keypad, maybe except the secondary enter key. i wouldnt mind if they gotten rid of the keypad part from a keyboard

well i am sure keypad is far more efficient once get used to it... i have taught myself a wrong habit (of using the numbers on the top row exclusively) i guess

i didn't use the keypad until i started with my current company. I started in the call center and had to type in information from callers. I learned fast.
