"Sociables" crackers (made by the same makers of Triscuit I believe) and sliced mild cheddar cheese is the shiznit!

Kraft even makes something called "Cracker Cuts" where the cheese is pre cut in 1" x 1" sizes. It eliminates cutting the cheese (pun intended).
