Poll: What's your music to system ratio?

Reading various stereo threads got me to thinking about the cost of sound systems vs the music they play. To find your music to system ratio take the total cost of all the music you paid for (CDs, vinyl, downloads, etc.) and divide it buy the total cost of all the players you regularly use (stereo, audio component of home theater, iPod, etc.). Don't count music you stole or no longer have (70s vinyl collection you sold in the 80s) or sound equipment you no longer use (8 track player in the basement).

Mine came out to be about 15:1

Mine is somewhere around 5:1 in favor of music, I own a bit over 1,000 CDs (acquired over 20 years) but have both home theater and home office music systems plus a Zen Xtra HD portable. Plus a music server PC with all 1,000 in lossless FLAC format, which I listen to on the home office stereo.

I've never bought a CD. I think $15-20 is ridiculous.

Just do BMG or Columbia and cancel. I think I have like 20 cd's from them for less than 3 a piece

About 1:1 for me and I own almost 300 CDs. I use to have more music, but I gave away my LPs & tapes (about 80 & 50) once I build up a good collection of CDs.

162 original CDs = ~$2500
Audio system = ~$5000

another NAD user

I wonder if I changed the rules to have folks value their stolen music at $1/song how the ratios would change?

$0/$0. All my media are stolen from various people over the years. And my sound system is this desktop w/stolen generic 5.1 speakers from...someone at some point.
Unless my computer counts...and even then it's $0/$1500 = 0
