Metallica (edge of metal/rock...i prefer the old stuff over ANYTHING)
Deftones (hell yeah baby. they friggin rule)
Tool (not really rock...)
Black Sabbath (Where it all began...)
Ozzy (Amazing man, i tell ya)
Oasis (more like alternative rock, but sure)
Weezer (yep, weezer kicks ass)

Ill add to that, buddy 🙂

Foo Fighters (sweetness all the way around, creamy center 😛)
Jimi Hendrix (not a group per se, but still one of the greatest rock shows of all time, if not THE best)
Stevie Ray Vaughn (this man can guitar almost as well as hendrix. Died in a chopper crash, sad)
Pearl Jam (spearheaded the grunge/alternative music phase with nirvana)
Stone Temple Pilots/Soundgarden (Same catagory - music you love to hear over and over again. Classic alternative)

But the Deftones are god... Remember that everyone, the Deftones are god.
 
Seph: interesting fact: another great guitarist, Randy Rhodes (Ozzy Osbourne) died in an air related accident. I think it was a private jet, not a chopper though. He was in it along with a few of ozzy's friends, but not ozzy. The pilot was trying to do some tricks and what not, and the plane crashed, killing everyone. It was a sad day. Randy was a bad ass, probably one of the best guitarists ever. I'm gonna go listen to my Ozzy Osbourne Tribute album and cry now. 🙁🙁

It was a prop single engine and it cliped the Ozzy tour bus and then crashed in to a plantation house. The piolt was all high on Coke..Yes It was a very very very sad day I saw him play with ozzy about a month before he died in Albuquerque also saw Stevie Ray Vaughn play two weeks before he died and saw Sam Kineson spelling? the comic one week before he died... I think i see a pattern?????? and there no way I can pick a band I like to many........

Weezer. My favorite CD is their debut album. I can listen to the whole thing straight through without skipping songs. Don't do that with any other CD I own. I hope they do come out with their new album later this year.
