What's your favorite professional/major league sport? to play or to watch, i guess...

For me, first comes basketball, then baseball. I like watching and playing both.

Then the rest I like equally.

playing and watching:
rugby
soccer (or football as i like to call it)
figure skating (laugh it up if you want)

watching:
diving
curling

*kat. <-- loves rugby the most.

I really can't stand baseball. All you do is just stand there and wait for a long while 🙁 football, lacrosse, table tennis are my favs i'd say.

I watch:

Cricket (not so more since I am in the US - damn US tv sports).
Basketball
Soccer (the real football - I call it football but unfortunately in the US it causes confusion).
Badminton
Formula 1
Rugby

Play (in order of actually play time here in the US)

Badminton
Soccer
Basketball
VolleyBall
Cricket

You should try coming over to England and watching a game of cricket.
The longest ever game lasted thirteen days and still ended up being a draw!

HairCut .. even though test cricket lasts 5 days.. its more exciting than baseball where they hit the ball once in a blue moon.. Sure cricket has those "slow overs" .. but atleast once that slow down is over with the game goes really fast.

I prefer one day internationals than tests..

By the way there are 9 ways to get out in cricket.. but there are sure far lesser than that to get out in baseball. I can think of only 3 ways.

With 9 ways it makes it a lot more exciting..

Baseball is right up there with golf and bowling (to watch)
Boooooooooorrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnggggggggggg!😉

😀

Basketball in both cases by a mile. Although golf is such an extremely boring game to watch IMO, I wouldn't mind playing it at some niiiice golf course (not the municipal golf courses around here, or something, UGH! :disgust: )....

The_good_guy, there are actually ten ways to get out in cricket 🙂

I'm actually quite a big fan of cricket (just been watching my team, Lancashire do really badly today) but I can only take it in short doses. I don't think I could ever go and watch all five days of a test.

On the baseball thing, I cam over to America a few years ago on holiday and went to watch the San Diego Padres baseball match and from what I could see the crowd were more interested in the guy selling hotdogs than the actual match.

10.. is there something new to get out with.. lets list them all out and see:

* Bowled clean
* Caught (all types - behind the wicket or otherwise)
* Stumped by keeper
* Run Out
* Leg Before Wicket (LBW)
* Handling the Ball

ok I am missing a few.. what else is left?

Edit:
As for test games going 4 days.. I never sat all day in front of the TV, but rather had it on and did something else when the crowd roared.. I go check the TV. Definately rivals rule, like India Vs Pakistan, England Vs Australia (Ashes), West Indies Vs South Africa..

But my favorite is still international one days.. fast and easy.. I can handle 50 overs per side easy.

Basketball (play & watch) then hockey (roller & ice, play & watch)...

I'm into all sports really, but i just dont have the time to play them like i do for basketball, i just go to the driveway for that 😉

OK, you got six ways the four others are:

Hit wicket
Timed out (batsman only gets 2 minutes from the last man leaving the field)
Obstructing a fielder
Hitting the ball twice

I like playing and watching ... Soccer 🙂

Watching: volleyball, basketball, rugby, baseball, football. College sports in general as well.

I'm not sure, Hockey or Football. Played both for a few years, but retired now... 🙂 I don't have time with College.
If I had to chose, it'd probably be hockey.
