UT needs the lag compensation. I have to lead the enemy slightly in order to hit him, which totally blows. I can understand with slower projectile weapons, but the secondary link gun and the minigun should be line-of-sight, especially in mélée.

Aside from the terrible aiming, I think UT2004 is pretty fun.

I found out this little combo last night while playing Onslaught. I had the Lightning gun out to take out an unaware Raptor (I know about the AVRIL, but there is no warning with the Lightning gun. 😉) and ran over the mountain to find myself assaulted by an enemy. I was trying to roll down to the Flak Cannon, and stopped on the Grenade Launcher instead.

Imagine my surprise when I found out the grenades stuck to people! 😀 And I now know that 1 Grenade kills an unarmored person, and two takes out anyone.

It is really fun to sneak up on the missile/snipers on the mountain, and place grenades on all of them to see them all blow up at the same time! 😀

smoke or not, I find the sniper more steady than the old one, it's pretty much point and head-shot 😀 with the old one, it's point and pray for one 😉

I really like the Avril for some reason (which doesn't have a secondary function btw.)

Also, the lighning gun is money IMO.

You can hold right mouse after you lock on to automatically track your target with the AVRIL.

Okay, after last nights fragfest, I'm changing my vote to the Grenade Launcher.

Had no AVRiL, enemy Goliath passing through center control point below. I dropped down and stuck all eight grenades right onto the tank. No reaction from the minigunner. (Thanks, "First Person Vehicles"!) Hold down the "Live Mic" button. "For Allah! (terrorist war whoop)" *detonate* Double Kill!

That's of course, second to the vehicles. Me = tank whore. 😀
